My Tray Empire Has Begun

Turners Falls is, as you know or should know, awesome. Really really awesome. But it just got awesomer. A new store called LOOT: found + made opened on Ave. A and it is awesomeawesome. The owners, Erin and John, bought the building 3 years ago and have been diligently working on it since. They opened to much fanfare a couple weekends ago and business has been brisk and steady and I am so glad. If towns could get jealous they would be (looking at you Northampton). Turners is just where it's at.

Also, I am starting a tray and gold empire, as you know. LOOT is making this much easier for me by letting me sell these things in their store. They are open Wed-Sun and are, um, awesome.

Tray Obsessed

My whole life has changed, thanks to this tray. I have become obsessed with painting things cream and gold (more on that later) as much as I have been convinced that everything should be on a tray. It's a miracle that I myself am not cream and gold the amount of spray painting and gold-leafing I've been doing.

I recently found these metal trays for $3.99 each. I sprayed them and put them together and voila, a plant stand/excess barware holder that makes me so happy I could dance in public. Almost.

Etsy Ethics: I Stole This, Is That Okay?

I'm wicked into shiny things lately. And chevron stripes. And trays - everything should be on a tray. So when I saw this tray making the rounds on Pinterest I totally flipped out.

The cream and gold is just so lovely together. There's a homemade elegance to it and kind of a sophisticated disco feel, or something. I don't know, I just really love the thing. Unfortunately, it's a one of a kind from Etsy and it was sold this summer. Now I want to have an Etsy shop solely dedicated to my rip-off painted trays. That would be wrong, right?

Made in Sweden, $2.50. Awesome.

Viola!

Already gold!
