Fan Mail

I just wrote a piece of fan mail for the first time since I was 13 and River Phoenix was alive. Her name is Emily Henderson, and she's a design/styling genius and she's partially responsible for why I am leaving my nonprofit career to pursue interior design. She is also adorable and I want to drink cocktails with her and get super catty about bad design choices other people make. 

She loves brass so I sent her a little brass mouse; a small token of my appreciation. It feels good to tell someone that you admire them. I should do that more often.
